The Squirrels of the Bluff

I was trying to get some shots of the yard birds earlier this week and while waiting for them to arrive some of the squirrels who live here on the bluff decided to put on a little comedy show for me. Make sure you check out Red our Red-tailed squirrel. Look how she blends into the trees so well.

I know many don’t like squirrels and I do get frustrated when they empty my feeders but I do see a cuteness in them that you can’t take away. You?

A new view

The wood pile was never suppose to be where it is located.

When our lot was cleared the builder made a decision to place it where it was, without asking me and it ruins the sight line out our dining room window. Everyone who comes to my house knows how much I hate it.

We are working to burn/cut/have carted away as much as we can, as quickly as we can but still it remains a huge eyesore. That was until the other night when I caught a glimpse out the window that provided a new view of the pile.

She found the corn we have out for the squirrels. I loved watching her and will be putting more corn out in that area with the hopes she comes back soon.

First Snow of Winter 2018/2019

It NEVER snows here before Christmas. That’s a rule 🙂 So we were pleasantly surprised to hear there was snow in the forecast this past week. What we didn’t expect was how much snow was going to come our way. Over 12″ fell at our home in just over 12 hours and kept us home from work and errands which was great as we had so much to get done here.

The puppies loved it and the Christmas decor was beautiful covered in it but now that it’s over, it can be done for the season. I am ready for summer 🙂
