Pinterest Compare #1 Dining Room Bookcases

As we were building and designing the house I spent a ton of time on Pinterest looking for ideas.  Two ideas in particular stayed with me throughout the entire design process and became must haves in the house.  Both were/are very popular ideas on the site and I still can't believe I duplicated them. Here is the first idea:3f2f773d0bc8ef4ed8735d4ee8ec2da5Pinterest Link:  https://www.pinterest.com/pin/41658365278244544/and our take on it:2015-12-21 17.21.142015-12-21 17.19.16This was such a smart thing, in my opinion, to add between the two rooms.  It provides a much needed break between the dining room and kitchen but at the same time as the Pinterest pin stated created functional storage.

Creative Co-Workers Christmas

We decided we needed some holiday spirit on our floor at work so we challenged our co-workers to a cube decorating contest.  As you can see a few really took the challenge to heart.
So fun, word spread quickly in the building and before we knew it lots of visitors to our floor.

All the Stocking Were Hung...

Yes its still several months until Santa arrives but I saw this on Facebook and thought I would share (and save ) for those of us who don't have a chimney but have little ones who will be asking where to hang their stockings.  Love this!

"For those of you who do not have a chimney, you can make this easy plaque to hang on the wall! Take a piece of wood and paint it. Then purchase vinyl letters and snowflakes from any craft store or cut yourself. Add the vinyl to the painted wood once it is dried. Buy a pack of hooks and screw in. You are done!"

Pretty fun right?
