A Toddler's Personality

Never let it be said this little one doesn't have quite the personality.  I took these during our SaturDATE last week and they really show how carefree, happy and fun she is.

Saturday with Avery

We had a date with Avery this past weekend and took her to the horse show as she has developed a love for horses. While she loves horse from afar, she had not actually seen a real one and I wasn't sure how she would respond. At first she wanted nothing to do with them but after petting the wooden saddle horse she seemed much calmer about seeing them      We walked all around the grounds with her pointing out all the horsey's when she saw one she really seemed to like as she kept turning back to look at it.  The owner asked if she would like to pet the horse.  I wasn't sure what she would do but as soon as I picked her up she was reaching right out and petting him.We walked around more watching some of the trials in the rings when we came upon the pony rides.  The women offered to let her sit on it and if she wanted nothing to do with it it would be no cost, if she liked it then they would giver her a ride.  Well let me tell you, she LOVED IT and was so excited.  We even FaceTimed mommy and daddy to show them her first pony ride.It was a fantastic day and we can't wait to have many more SaturDATES with our beautiful girl.

VMFA at Sunset

My photo class visited VMFA (Virginia Museum of Fine Arts) for a sunset shoot this past week.  Having never been there I was not sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the grounds are.  They are small but very pretty and comfortable, a place you would want to take a walk around and just enjoy the sights. These are some of my favorite photos taken.  I will say the class has taught me to be more deliberate and I am very much enjoying it. These were all taken at sunset so the theme was to capture the lights and shadows.
