Kailynn and Brian called and invited us to spend the evening at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens here in Richmond. I will always jump on an invitation to spend time with my youngest son and daughter-in law and so of course we went. It had been several years since we had visited and I see why year after hyear they are named on of the best botanical garden displays in the US. This year, they were #2.
Hoping we can make a visit here part of our annual plans going forward.
We roadtripped down to Raleigh to celebrate our newest grand-daughter by attending Devon and Bryan’s baby shower.
They are so excited, you can see it in their smiles and laughter.
Can’t wait to meet Audrey in just a few weeks!
Avery has become a huge fan of the YouTube Channel, The Bucket List Family. For Christmas we purchased her some of their merch, including the hat in the photo below. Well it was so cute I of course had to take a picture and then posted it on my Instagram tagging TBLF but not thinking much more about it.
Well they not only liked the photo, they reposted it on their Instagram page. She is going to lose it when I show her LOL
I have not seen either of my brothers since mom passed away two years ago. We promised we would stay in touch. but Covid decided to keep us apart, that and they live in other states. I must say I miss the family connection more than I realized until my brother and sister-in law, Tim & Rene, came to visit and then left. It made me sad not knowing when we would be together again.
While they were here we decided to spend a day out on the boat. We had a perfect weather day. The river was so flowing nicely from the rains we had been having so while it appeared calm we decided not to chance it and didn’t swim, next time!
Preschool has been the best for this little man. He is so proud of himself LOL
