Sausage and Ranch Quiche

I did change it up a little by using Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage crumbles and low fat heavy cream.  Neither change made any difference in my opinion and saved us a few calories 🙂  If you use the Turkey crumbles frozen like I did you will need to add about 5-10 minutes to cooking time.Recipe:
  • 1 (9-inch) frozen deep dish pie crust
  • 8-oz sausage (Jimmy Dean or Tennessee Pride)
  • 1/2 cup prepared Ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • dash black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink. Drain fat. Combine cooked sausage and Ranch dressing. Drop crumbles of sausage mixture in bottom of pie crust. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Whisk together eggs, pepper and cream. Pour egg mixture over sausage and cheese mixture in pie crust.
  4. Bake 1 hour. Allow quiche to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Pool Project #3

Now that the deck is done it was time to connect the two decks to each other, the house and the pool.We decided to go for a simple pea gravel base with stone framing and pavers for the steps. First we measured and marked the area and then we (and when I say we I mean Guy) removed all the grassNext we started laying the stones
The final look (until the fall when we take on ripping out the yard and replanting the entire thing).

Mother's Day 2017

We were invited to spend Mother's Day 2017 at our oldest son's home with my daughter in law and beautiful grand daughter.  Lucky for us my mom is still kicking at 84 and so she was able to join us as well.It was such a fun day. Avery was in such a good mood.  She posed for photos with me:
Chris and Guy were there too but I got no pictures of them :)  I need to do better hahaI hope all my friends had a great mom's day as well.
